Summer Theatre Camp - Grades 9 through 12

Summer Theatre Camp with MCYT!

For four weeks, the campers will rehearse the High School Edition of a popular Broadway show! We have a limited number of spots available, so register now to ensure your child’s spot in the camp!

Camp is held Monday through Friday, 6 pm to 9 pm at the Fort Monmouth Recreation Center, 2566 Guam Lane, Tinton Falls, NJ. Camp begins on Monday, July 8.

Performances will be Friday, August 2 at 7 pm and Saturday, August 3 at 1 pm.

Performance venue TBA.

All students who register for the camp will be cast in the show. We will hold an audition prep day on the first day of camp, and auditions will be Tuesday, July 9. Auditions are to determine the best casting for the show among all who register. You do not need to prepare anything for Monday, July 8!

All campers should bring a labeled water bottle and a pencil to all rehearsals.

Campers should wear comfortable clothing that they can move in. We ask that everybody wear closed toed shoes for the camp as well. No flip flops or sandals, please!

A detailed welcome letter will be sent out to all registrants as we get closer to the first day of camp. Please feel free to contact us via our website with any specific questions.

The tuition for the production is $500. This helps cover the cost of the rehearsal and performance spaces, costumes, microphones, the rights to the show, and everything else that comes along with producing a fantastic show.

If for some reason you or your child feels that the program in which they are enrolled is not something they wish to continue with, a refund of 50% may be requested after the first class, OR the child may apply their tuition in full towards another MCYT program within the same calendar year.

Parents are responsible for their child's behavior.  This includes payment for any and all property damages/losses, resolving conflicts, and carrying out disciplinary actions if necessary.

MCYT acknowledges that bullying behavior is unacceptable and holds a zero tolerance policy for bullying.  Should a child enrolled in an MCYT program behave in a way that is perceived as bullying, staff reserves the right to suspend the child from the program.  Should it be determined that the child's behavior is not in accordance with this policy, the child will be removed from the program, and no refund will be issued.
