The Broadway Workshop Experience!
The Broadway Workshop Experience is the perfect way to implement the idea of modeled instruction, and allows students to learn the area of performance that appeals most to them! This workshop has hands on learning opportunities in singing, improv acting and dance. Students will create their own performances with their peers. This workshop can be tailored to your school’s schedule, but usually runs about two hours. MCYT will provide a team of two - six instructors based on your groups size. All students will be given an opportunity to perform at the end of the workshop.
This workshop is recommended for grades K - 4, 5 - 8 and 9 - 12.
The Improv Comedy Workshop is great for students who are interested in comedy! A team of teaching artists will take the stage and use audience suggestions to create improvised scenes. After their performance, our instructors will work with students on basic acting skills through improvisational games. Finally, a few lucky students will be given the chance to come onstage and perform for their peers. This workshop can be tailored to your school’s schedule, but usually runs about ninety minutes.
This workshop is recommended for grades 5 - 8 and 9 - 12.
Musical Theatre Workshop
The Musical Theatre Workshop gives your students a chance to show off their talents in acting, singing, and dancing! Students will alternate between different stations, lead by a team of instructors, where they will learn choreography, lyrics, music, and acting through song. Students will choose which new skill they would like to show off in a large group with their peers! This workshop can be tailored to your school’s schedule but usually runs about ninety minutes.
This workshop is recommended for grades K - 4, 5 - 8, and 9 - 12.
